Default RACE FRAME FOR POLARIS 400

[i]
So maybe I'llstart looking for another Predator
You can probably find a cheap predator cause a lot are aelling them due to the tranny issues they have.. I know a guy in GA that wants to sell his.... you can email me at hondapartsatv@hotmail.com I gotta find his *** on exrider but I know he is selling it with a blown tranny

Look at the pics of my frame. I put a 250R front end on it. I am still building it now, taking a long time. HPD I am sure doesn't sell the frame b/c like Polarisfreak said, it would be so expensive that no one could afford it. It is a modified 250R aftermarket frame. You may be able to buy a 250R frame, move some motor mounts and cut the trans mounts out of your polaris frame and weld them in the 250R frame. I think its easier and cheaper to go my route though. When I get done fitting everything back togeter I plan on gussetting the hell out of this thing so that it stays together.

This project so far has actually been easier than I expected. It is taking a ton of time and since I can't work on it for long periods at a time. Unfortunatly I prolly wont be done until the end of this summer or so. I'll put new pics up as I take them.

That is what i was thinking of doing that with a 250r frame. In would like to do that with a predator frame but, the 250r frame will probley be better and easier.

I replied to this a while back. HPD is supposed to be marketing their race frames (minus powerplant) this coming summer. I'll check tomorrow when I'm up there.

Yes I know ,I have talked to Darryl, I 'll wait to see what it will coast. Darryl said that it wold end up coasting over 12,000.00 to build it on your own. That is NUts. also people have told me that the HPD race frame is NO stronger than the stock scrammy frame, and that just won't do. I need something very strong.I'll still be checking it out closely.I the mean time I have a scrambler frame or two that I can cut up. I alsohave one 250r frame to cut up,so I may try that mod first and when we see the hpd frae I'll try it ,if it's worth it.
Thanks for the remineder Ken
Matt

There is one thing you can count on, the HPD race frame is plenty strong. I've seen a couple of them MX'd for a few years with no problems. No beginners either.... Big air!!!

Im sure it will be a Good frame, but HPD will charge a arm and a leg for the kit. BUt who cares! I'm sure as soon as they release the thing I'll be buying it.Even if it's One kit here and one kit there,if you know what I mean.

HPD told me that it would still coast over 12000.00 to build. I don't think he is thinking that I would be using the engine and other parts I have already.
From what I hear though he will be offering it in 4 kits
1st-frame with tranny and swingarm---Most important kit!!
2nd-engine-wires

Unless you have other 250r compatable parts, you will need a rolling chassis and tranny.
