i need to know what i need to do to get my 250x to keep up with my buddies stock 400ex and beat my other buddies sportsman 500 ho, so do any of you have any suggestions?

 

Save yourself a lot of wasted money and time and get a 400ex. They are just not in the same catagory of performance. Ive been there and done that . Heck the 400ex has been at the bottom of sport quad market in perfomance for quite some time now. The 250x is a great quad but look at what you need first . And if anyones says a pipe and filter will make them perform as good as a 400ex there is a term for them. Liars

 

oh believe me id love to, but i dont have $3k for one, and i know there are ways of making it keep up, not necessarily win in a race, but still keeping up is keeping up.

 

Buy my alky 410 motor that is laying in my shop floor.

 

how did you get a 410cc engine to fit in a 250x frame? By cutting it?

 

I don't think it's a different motor, it's just probably bored and stroked to the max.

 

id love to convert my engine to alcohol, but i dont have anywhere that supply the stuff whenever i need it (my friend buys it for a lil bit less of cost than gas but not much at a time).

 

Yep, big bore and a 1/2" longer stroke.

 

How much do you want for it Alky? How much HP? Is it working on gas or alcohol?
