has any one mounted a crf450 motor in an 86 250r frame? if so was there any cutting involved? and who offers an exhaust for this set up?

 

why ruin a good machine/frame?
Build yourself a good 370 stroker and you'll never even want to consider a thump thud thump

 

the 450r is based on the 250r but up graded why do all that work for almost the same bike.

 

im not sure i have lots of trails near my house but i bet i can just set one up for trails and keep my dune bike

From what I've read, the new 450R engine makes considerably less power than the crf engine.

 

Bansheesmoker aka Jimmy, I just wanted to say I am glad you made a full recovery!!! It also shows your love for the sport because in the face of adversity you chose to keep doing what you loved!!!! As many times as I have crashed and broken bones all over my body.........my family and friends sometimes wonder why I keep racing, but its my love for the sport that keeps me going!!!!

 

My YFZ puts out less power than my YZF so I am sure the 450R and CRF is no different!
