Yep
The bombardier DS650 and the Yamaha raptor actually use street bike motors.
A friend and I built a CBR1000 super quad. It jumps and trail rides pretty good as well as smokes just about everybody but the fastest Banshees.

I have one lousy picture that I just put in my gallery. I have alot of video of it running around the dunes but just finally broke down and bought a digital camera.

mystereid-Is your friends cbr silver and does he ride at florence?I ask because me and the wife took some pictures of a cbr quad last year or the year before at florence and it was very fast and sounded awesome. If this was the cbr you mentioned i didnt see anything that was running with it that day and it was against some of the very fast high horsepower banshees. Very cool ride.

I'd be afraid to try my GSX-R's motor in a quad frame. That would be nuts.

mysterreid-You were involved in the build of the cbr 1000? Was it a costly process and was the difficulty more than expected.I ask because i would like to do a project like this at some point. It would seem that the front end would be fairly easy but was the back the same or more difficult.
