would a gtech work on a quad?

If I had a 12v supply from a battery, and hooked it up on the bars or whatever, would it work the way it was designed to? I am saying this because the way that quads differ from cars, more vibration/swaying. so what do you think?
how about on a bike also?

The Gtech is nothing more than an accelerometer. It measure acceleration, and makes computations based on a clock. I see no reason one would not work on a quad. It may have some problems giving very accuate information over rough terrain, but should work fine on the smoother surfaces.

well it does have g-forces, brakeing distances, 0-60 times, top speed, and horsepower, yes horsepower...
thats why i wanted to know if it would work, because it might be setup for a car, 2000+lbs, while say a banshee has less than 1/4 the weight, and i would think it shows a very high hp rating than what it really is.

I just sold my G-tech on ebay, wish I would have thought to use it on my 'shee.
One problem that you may run into: Because it actually works off of lateral g-force measurements, you would have to keep the front end from raising into the air, or it would throw the calculations off.
About measuring HP, the weight of the vehicle is adjustable by tilting the meter up or down until you get to the weight of the vehicle, but I'm not sure how low of a vehicle weight it will go down to.

hey dude, don't give up on the idea. You should reread what their site said.
I don't think your quad will run a 1/4 mile in less than 7 seconds. If it does, we can skip the G-tech and let me assure you that you're the man and that you've got enough power to smoke anybody on an atv that you intend to race.
In order to acheive such high accuracy Maximum G range of G-TECH/Pro is ~1.3 G's. This is fine for all the cars who's 1/4 mile E.T.'s are above 7 seconds.
