Default Four Banger??

Anybody ever put a four cylinder street bike engine in a quad?

If so, how did it perform?

I've seen a Ninja 600 in a Warrior frame. I don't remember if it was a 2 or 4 cylinder, but it was a runner! The guy said it would do 90+.

That's neat.

The ninja 500 is a 2 cylinder and the 600 is a 4. I think the mojave 250 is the same as the 250 ninja engine. The 500 is the 250's big brother. It would be neat to put the 500 ninja engine on a quad. It has DOHCs and runs 12 second quarter mile times in the bike frame. Maybe it would even be a match for a yfz if it was in the right frame.

I actually just bought one for $350 bucks. Its an 87 Suzuki 230lt frame with a 84 550e Honda streetbike motor on it, 4 banger. Its got dual custom exhaust with no mufflers. This engine is huge and loud as hell too. I havent ridden it yet tho.
