This topic was a hit and run and he got the desired response. I agree with Bansheeesmoker. This thread brings up a lot of good points. I started with a blaster and it was fun. But at 6' 2" 190lbs. I obviously benefited more by getting my lt250r than hopping up the blaster. However, there are smaller framed inividuals out there that can smoke me with their blaster.

 

this is a great topic.....but the idea of makin slow stuff fast is cool.....your kindof setting an example of what can be done with some smart modifications. anyone with 7k can buy a 450r, i did, but its alot cooler to take an old junk 3 wheeler and make at keep up with the new 250s. modifying stuff is fun...itsa fun to experiment, and you learn while your doing it....the point is not to have the fastest, the the most different from stock....now if i can just put fuel injection and a small turbo on my big red, i can keep up with my 450r....hehehehe

 

a blaster can be modded beyond belief if u didnt know it. I have a friend that drags a blaster. His blaster tops at about 100mph, and im not kidding. He is sponsered.

 

not everyone is an expert rider. If u go from a 250ex to a z400 someone could get hurt. Some people dont want to go faster. Many familys out there have a 250ex for the wife and kids that they use to put around. So they slap some nerfs on it. They wasting money? I know someone who put a $2000 winch on a 250ex and i can tell you what, i sure am glad. It has saved our buts more than once in the woods. Some people dont 'live, eat and breath' atvs. ATVS are mearly and add-on to many peoples lives. Putting some money into to make it a little better is a lot cheaper than buying a faster bike.

Let other people do what they want with their money. You dont make their money for them.

Who are you to tell anyone else to do anything... Just stop taliing beacuase this is a waste of brandwith... Plus you act like your so fast.. I and everyone else i ride with could kill yuo inm trails so come down to pa and eat roost please... my friend with a 250ex ould personally smoke you in any trail. I will bet on it.. Your one of the most disrespectful people i have ever met. How old are you kid? I'm 14 and it seem to me like you think your so tough and fast so just please leave the forums and never come back. This i think is the post that got me over the edge

 

Going from a 250EX to a Z400 is a logical upgrade for a conservative rider who wants to go up in steps from slowest to fastest. A Z400 is faster than a 250EX but still no fire breathing widow making monster. In fact based on the Quads being made now the Z400 is really a middle step between beginners quads and full out performance quads, and would be an excellent choice for an intermediate rider with a little experience on any slower quad who is ready to move up a notch but not ready for a really high powered machine.

I don’t think anyone here is talking about utility mods like nerfs or a winch. In most cases those things can even be transferred to a new ATV so they are a pretty good investment.

I don’t make other people’s money for them, but I bet you don’t either and it didn’t stop you from posting how you think things are so I will continue to do so also.

personally, i love my lil bro's 250EX as much as i do my old 400EX and new 450R. when i get older i'm gonna buy a lil 250EX, and completely trick it out. not necessarily make it the fastest or most powerful, but make it look the nicest but still be useable. i love takin out the 250, puttin it in 3rd and jus riding. i'll jump it in 5th regularly, and it's a blast. i can't wait until i can pour a bunch of money into a lil 250EX, and still have my high performance bike.

 

just think, we all started sharing our rides because of an @$$ that couldnt even back up his statement that we shouldnt put performance parts on our quads

 

actually putting a pipe on a 2stroke, such as the blaster that u stated was usless, is actually very benifitial... and anyway, why do u care? your probobly pissed off about the blasters that can beat u so u dont want anyone to mod there bikes..
