Do any of you have a Coolhead or Redhead on your 250R's? i was wondering which to get, because i saw a Redhead for sale on ebay for $200 and was wondering if it was worth it to try somethin new. what i like about the cool-head is that you can change domes, but is it worth it to go for this Redhead and sacrifice that option? also, with you owners of either heads, how much of a difference did you notice with them? thanks all.

The Red Head uses Pro-Design domes, so basically they both have interchangable domes.

One difference that I notice with the Red Head is that it doesn't have a head stay mount. I'm still undecided about this.

The $200 on Ebay is a little high. I'm purchasing one for $112.50(more or less via Ebay), which is about $70 less than you can buy the Pro-Design shell for.

There's all sorts of options. With a basically stock motor you would notice some gains, but not as much with a built motor. Most noticable would be increases in throttle response and low to mid range power brought on about increases in the compression.
