I have a 2001 honda 300ex and i took the baffle out of the pipe and ive had it out for a while and then i read on a website that if u take it out it could do damage to your motor and it said that it could overheat or sumthin like that so ne way i was ridin down the road in bout 4th or 5th gear and it just dies. i didnt think much of it cuz after like 1min of trying it fired up again and then i rode it for like 5 min and it did it again it just died. So i dont no if i fried sumthin or wat but i need your help. THNKS

 

when ever you do a mod to your exsaust or air box you have to REJET THE CARBS not doing this will cause you to run lean or rich in your case lean check your plug if it still looks okay come back to the forums and find out what jets you should be running good luck

 

yea it will over heat if u dotn rejet and u can damage ur motor if its too hot so dont ride anymore untill u rejet
