I have a 86trx200sx and have had it since it was new and have had no real problems with it except for chain and sprocket problems. Latley after i shut off the motor I hear a funny winding down sound followed by a thud which stops it. I have had a couple of people say it is the starter and i am pretty sure that is what it is but i am not sure, if it is something that can get worse i need to know what it is so I can work on getting it fixed. Anyone have any ideas what it is or how to fix it????????? Please, any tips are appreciated.

That winding down noise is the centrifuge clutch spining.
DO NOT worry about that.
