Default suzuki 750 triple in quadzilla 500

I wanted to know how hard a suzuki 750 triple 2 stroke would be to put in a quadzilla 500. I will be drag racing this and i wanted to know if there were any major engine mods for it like a stroker kit ,big bore pistons long rod kit, or anything of that sort. I also wanted to know how much horsepower this engine puts out any help would be appreciated.

its a kawasaki h2 750 triple. he's now having a custom frame built because of weight distribution problems, i think he had too much trouble spinning even with those fat tires, but he still turned some insane times with it. his nos bottle isnt on it in the pics and the other bottle there is an air shifter. i saw him run mid 6s when he was still tuning it. im not sure of the exact times. dont know if it will help you any but i thought you might like it.

My stock 74 GT750 was factory rated at 68HP. Not bad for a low compression plugged up motor. Parts are getting hard to find. You can find pretty sweet exhaust setups still overseas, they ride them a lot still in Europe. I ran across a site about 1.5 years ago and they had a full set of expansion chambers with silencers for around $600. Up to 3mm can be removed off of the stock head without any ill effects, just make sure to check squish clearance. You can also still find the electronic conversion for the ignition which would almost be a necessary thing for racing. The big motors make lots of torque and run a lower rpm then their Kawasaki counterparts. Shifting would only be from 6500-7000 rpms, as the rods wont take continuous high rpm stress. A decent exhaust system, ignition, higher compression, and some decent flatslide carbs would make for a strong motor, but keep in mind they still weight a lot. If I were going to do that swap, I would put the motor on alky, then just loop the cooling system together and overheating shouldnt be a problem. Hope this helps,Bubba

I would suggest an Arctic Cat sled motor, also made by Suzuki. LOADS more HP. And it would be easier to fit a twin than a triple.

Check out FAST BY GAST,they build the Kawi tripple's for dragracing, maybe they could hook you up on something, and I've seen their work perform, they do good work,Very FAST,3.8's in 300ft the one I say running at SilverLake Dragway.I was thinking of doing that awhile ago and I know it would scream just couldn't afford it.

It is not hard at all, just look at my page. There are indeed go fast parts for the gt750. I have my entire bike torn apart right now the finish up everything cosmetically and also do some engine work. I am installing 38mm carbs, major port work, 1.5mm barrel spacer, and a custom squish head with removable domes. I am also working with a guy that will be mounting sled cylinders on his gt block. He is also putting it into a quad frame. According to his 2stroke software, it should put out around 250+ hp, 325+ with nos. These are very tough engines, but are old and some have bad crank seals. Only way to replace the seals is a 300+ crank rebuild.
By the way, I mounted my engine in a quadsport 250 frame with ease. The lt500 should have more room and be easier. Current motor was running very strong with carb mounted k&n filters, rejetted carbs, and moddified 250r pipes. With a plus 8" swingarm, on asphalt, it would still want to wheelie pretty bad, even with 2nd gear starts. Just to give you an idea of gearing, I am running a 12-55 combo with 22" tires on asphalt. I could change it a bit for dirt and sand, but I just wanted to run the bike a while to test the frame and swingarm integrity. Oh and dont even think about a standard chain. You will need to run the large motorcycle type chain. I have been running banshee front sprokets(yes they are narrow, but work). For the back I cut the hubs off of old sprokets and mated them to standard #50 sprokets(just make sure everything is nice and true before you weld).
Let me know if you need any help or parts.
Patrick

Forgot to mention, there is a guy in houston that makes custom pipes for these engines. As soon as i get my bike back together, I will bring it to him to build a set. Also, with the pipes i currently have, the engine pulls hard to around 9000. I can help point you in the right direction for the various components you need to really wake this engine up. You will however need tools for porting and have someone reweld the carb spigots to put bigger, better carbs on it.

any competant pipe man can make a 2-stroke pipe when supplied with transfer durations. H2 is a good motor, but have weak trannies.

I started off with a GT 750 on a 230 frame. It was actually used to pull a sled and I turned around and changed the gears around just to see how fast it would go. I figured out that it was to much motor for the little frame. Then I decided to put it in a LT 500 frame. It has taken me a year to do this all and now I have it together and running. So, far I have found out that it is a much better ride. I am hoping that I and get out to the sand drags to see what it is really going to do. This here is a 1987 Quadzilla chassis with a 1972 GT 750 motor and made my own custom pipes. I have tried this setup out and working on rebuilding a 1974 motor. I have seen on here that they have talked about the rocket and I am wanting to try something that or any other ideas.
