I think it will be awesome when you get it done but like i said i doubt you will have it done by mid august. Why dont you use that tecate motor instead of an r motor? The tecate makes more power and has a powervalve which would help out low end. And plus you already have the tecate motor.

 

mahnster, i would have put the tecate motor in instead of the r motor, especially since it is a 295cc big bore motor, but i don't have that motor. the a$$ ripped me off on it, so i never got it, and now he is just saying that he got the address wrong and that he will resend it, but i know another person who was ripped off by the same guy. he's got my money, but i don't have that motor!!! so, instead i'm using a 265cc PV big bore r motor, so i will have the powervalve anyway, just not as much HP. BTW, i'm going to do everything i can to have it done by mid august... i'll see if i can do it. the reason i'm shooting for this is b/c i want to show it, when done, to one of my friends leaving for college in mid august. so, hope for me that it will be done... i'll have my other friend helping with some of the stuff too.

 

this sounds like an awsome project!! i like the colors, i was goin to do the same thing to a bashee frame and a gsxr sportbike motor but i only have the motor right now so i hopin to get that frame and things soon! how much is this whole thing costin yah?

My bad i thought you already had the tecate motor. Are you sending the parts out to get powdercoated or are you just painting them? $1500 dont sound like too bad of a price for a project like that. Have you found an r motor to buy? If so how much $? Keep the updates coming.

 

well, i did find a 265 PV R motor, for $800, but i don't have the money. i thought i would, but turns out that i think the guy that wanted to buy my parts for $700 from the UK is just using me for money laundring. i can tell, b/c the cashiers check that i got today has no water mark on it. he thought he could use me, well, i'm attempting to return the check, but i have no address, b/c on the fed-ex papers, he wrote his address so lightly it is impossible to read. we'll see what happens. now i've got to find another way to get the money. also, i can't afford to get the parts powdercoated, so i am going to use automotive paint, with clear coat, which is supposed to be a lot better than the stock paint, and hold up tons better. i'll keep you all updated.

 

i have a 250x also with 400ex a-arms ,excaliber axle,ext. and also would like to put a better motor on it so keep up the post and let me now how every thing works out also if any one knows where i can get 250r or tecate 250 for a fair price let me know

HavokRacer, thats awesome that ur doing a project just like mine. if u get an R motor before me, than make sure and let me know the best way to mount everything in the frame. i already have an idea of how i will mount the radiaor, and shrouds, but i don't have a motor to measure up the rest of the diemnsions. BTW, good luck! also, how well do those 400ex a-arms help with the handling?
