DVX400 jetting help!!!!!!!!!
#1
I bought a quadworks kit on ebay for my 04 dvx400. It comes with a K&n filter, prodesign adapter, and a stage 1 and 2 dynajet jet kit. I installed the filter and adapter two days ago. I have to go with the stage 2 jet kit because I want to run an open airbox with no end cap. Dynajet calls for a 146 main jet in their instructions. I called them this morning and they said because of the prodesign adapter you have to use a 160. I installed it and turned the air/fuel mixture screw back 3 turns. I also have their needle and eclip installed in the 3 position. I fired it up and it idles fine until operating temperature and then it gradually slows down and then finally dies on its own. Should I mess with the air/fuel screw? Or should I change the position of the needle? Also when you go to start it, do you keep the fuel switch on prime at all times or just when you're starting it? Please help, Any advice will do. Thanks.

i would say maybe the mixture screw as my mojave did that until i messed with it
just turn it either way and see what has better results
with the 160 is it too rich you should check the plug to make sure
