what your talking about is the pilot air screw turning it all the way in is blocking all the air(rich)back it out some and go from there

No, there is only an idle adjustment screw. There is not an idle/air screw, or pilot screw, or pilot air screw on the carburetor. When I turn the screw (idle adjustment) counterclockwise (out), the bike pretty much dies, because the idle is already on the verge of dying as is. I hope this helps to clarify. I know the carburetor should have an pilot air screw, but it does not. That sucks!

I'm sending you an email with a macro shot of my carb & the location of the pilot screw, just in case you may have missed it. If not you must have another model of carb than any I've ever seen.

I think we're getting lost in terminology here; there are pilot screws and air screws; each are separate & not necessarily both on a given carburetor. On my 97 model Mikuni, there is no air screw, only a pilot screw located on the front (engine)side of the carb. On carbs with air adjustment screws they are located on the rear (airbox) side.From what basketcase is saying, he has neither, only an idle adjustment.
