Help with Raptor hot cam
#3
It just depends on what cam you are putting in your bike. Hot cam stage 1 is just bolt in and go. You don't have to have the 11:1 piston but it would help. If your looking for some serious gain in your top end then the stage 2 is the way to go but you will need a new piston and buy the spring kit also. Then the little secert that no one tells you with the higher lift cams is you need to get your rockers hard welded and heat treated. Yeah this sounds like a lot but my 02 raptor is putting out 62 hp on the dyno at the rear wheel. As far as jetting went I did not have to change my jetting when I put the cam in as well as port and polish. What kind of pipe are you running and is it with a dyno jet kit?
