Default I need ignition HELP!!

Can anyone help me with the ignition on my 1973 Yamaha DT3 dirtbike? I know this is an ATV thread but i need to know how to test the coil (its a two-stroke) and maybe how i can get detailed wire diags that tell what each wire is. I put new points and condenser in and need to know how to test the coil (more indepth than just finding the resistance on the primary and secondary) Please any help would be awesome

Thanks

yes and no. The battery and lights have been gutted on it. Now i have a bunch of wires and no spark. So it origionally had a battery, but all of the wireing is just hanging out because the lights are all torn off. It ran before this way......then sat all winter......and summer as i tried to get it running again. Like i said i put a new condenser and points in it as well as a crank seal because that went bad. I dont really want to buy a new coil if i dont need to.

Thanks
