I was wondering if there were any downsides or preventative measures I need to consider when putting a 2 stroke dirt bike engine in a quad chassis. Thinking of putting a KX 250 or 500 in a KFX.

 

I have never done it. I have heard they vibrate. The quad engines are counter-balanced and the bikes are not. It has something to do with pulling the extra load.

I rode a lonestar quad that had a yzf 426 dirt bike engine. It was real obvious to me that the engine didn't like the extra load.
