Will 450R shock fot a 400ex.. I have heard that the fronts will work for sure with a little grinding.. But will the rears fits.. If so what mods will be needed to make it happen.. I heard they are shorted so it will drop the rear.. but I just need to know how to make them work...

 

If you want maximum performance, I would send them in somewhere to get them revavled for EX a-arms, will make a work of difference.

Why?? Just save your money and buy some cheap works shocks they will be valved for you and your riding and im sure it is about the same price as it would be to track down some 450r shocks. PLus he has a point the 450r shocks are made for the wider 450r set up. Just save the time and the trouble you will be money ahead in the long run!
