I am hearing a noise comin' from my motor on my 2000 Warrior. It sounds like a pecking or a rattling.Hard to explain.I was thinkin' maybe it could be the valves need adjusted.Does that sound like what it could be.When you rev the engine it does it faster and louder along with the rpm's.And at idle it does it slower. What you think?Thanx in advance!

Why not check your valve clearance? A relatively easy procedure, eliminating one possibility.

Otherwise, although diagnosis by remote control is hard, could be a rod knock, indicating a serious condition, but seldom encountered in ATV's because of the widespread use of roller bearings. Good luck.

Swain,
I also have a 2000 Warrior and it makes the same sound. Its been like that since i bought it new and the dealer says its nothing to worry about. The said it had something to do with the rocker arm sliding across because of a little play, its supposidly harmless?? ITs annoying though huh!!
