Hey all, my bro wants to know what kind of exhaust he should get for his 300.........whatever it is, it cant be louder than 90 decibles.

 

Get a stock 250x muffler. They flow better than the 300ex ,bolt right on and will still be quiet.

 

Its going to be very hard to find something under 90 decibles, most quiet cores are around 95 decibles, you may want to stick with stock for that one.

 

why the hell 90decibles? they dont make any aftermarket exhaust that quite..

 

idk, my dad doesnt want a loud exhaust because we ride in a park and there are restrictions............

 

Look into the FMF Q, thats a quiet pipe.

 

ok, look at it this way, you can either have power gains or have a quiet exhaust. its rare that you ge thte best of both worlds.

 

tell him to look for a tuneable exhaust, white brothers. i would recomend a megamax II exhaust. run it with a 5-6 discs and slap on the quiet core. its louder than stock but not considered to be loud. i have heard that the white brothers exhaust is rediculously loud. also DG makes a tunable exhaust but im not a big fan of DG... but just thought i would help with all these blinded people

 

after you put on the discs and quiet core it'll still be louder than the stock one, and it won't give power gains anyways. I experimented with the megamax 2 when I had my recon, and you have to run the quiet core and 4 discs to get it as quiet as the stock exhaust, it's so restrictive like that you will actually lose power. Even the FMF Q series pipes are over 90 db, you might as well keep the stock one.
