vitos key
#4
I purchased one 2 sat. ago...put it on tightened it up..and well it sounded great for a sec..then died...sheared the somebisatch right in half..
So long story short..I reopened her up and put the original back in..I thought it sheared because the fly wasnt tight but...I tightened the same way..49 pds as per book..and the stock one is still in 1 piece..So to answer your ?? I have no clue...I recalled Vito and left a message and left my # and had no response...??Dont know guess i'll have to recall and see if he'll will warrenty the key...GoodLuck tho it does sound like a good idea...If it wouldnt shear..

Heh,
Get the Adjustable Stator plate from HyTech ATV. Its identical to Pro Design and Trinity and it retails for $69.99. No risk of shearing and you can adjust your timing from -10 to +10 degrees.
I have one. Works great. I run +5 with Pro Design Cool heads at 19 cc domes, 108 octane VP C12, Toomey pipes,etc.. etc... etc...
Really too much to get into.

That stator plate from hy-tech racing for $70. Is that the only part you need for it to work or are there other parts you must also buy?And how hard/easy is it to put on and what about adjusting the timing hard/easy??
And what is the most advanced I can go and still run on 93 octane without any problems?
Thanks

I have a 98 Banshee. This will be my second time trying the key. My first one got all messed up (i thought i dident get it in the correct way but now i am wondering if it dident also shear off)????
I already ordered another so i guess i will try again.
Has any one else had a key shear??
maybe i should call vito..??
