where to send my pipe??

Powder coating isn't that expensive....Maybe 30-40 for your pipe or even less. I have no idea if PC is heat resistant though. There are probably local shops that do PCing. I don't know about chroming or jet hot coating.

powdercoating tends to retain heat but looks great, when I built the engine for my harley I had the cylinders and the heads bead blasted then I painted them with a couple thin coats of the duplicolor 1500 degree ceramic heat paint which you can buy from autozone. it looks great and won't retain heat. I don't know if powdercoating on a pipe would be good or bad but I can't see it being a problem but in my case on my cylinders and heads which are air cooled I wanted them to stay cool.

actually, you want a pipe/header to Contain heat, thats why on some pipes you can get Cematic (really bad sp) coating for like 100$ more, because it keeps the exhaust temp hotter, hotter exhaust flows faster = More hP.

Yea that makes sense LT250R... Heat=Energy=Movement. But is there a paint that doesn't peel of in heat and keeps heat?

yea, its called Header paint, i used it to paint my heat shealds. their made for headers, i got it for like 5$ at Autozone, i dont know howmany colors they come in, i got gloss black. Works great, you have to paint it, let dry for 1 hr, then let bike run for 1 hr or bake part in a unconvetional oven at 650 degrees for 60min
