You paid 700 bucks for a pipe, so I'm not sure what you consider cheap...

A stage 1 cam will help a good deal and is worth the upgrade. If you go stage 2 you need valve springs and really should throw a higher comp piston in there. At that point you get into head porting and cost just sky rockets.

After piping and opening up the intake on the raptor there really isnt much left to do with bolt ons. Time to go internal or be happy with the power you have. You can always sink $$$ into suspension parts.

cant u just buy an aftermarket head with all the valvesprings and a cam in it already?

also, call up holley performance and order a NOS kit for the raptor (it isnt exactly a kit but u can get all the parts for it

To my knowledge no one offers heads ready to go w/ cams and springs. You can exchange your head for a pre-ported one, but thats all I've ever seen.

Why get something from Holley with no atv association when Boondockers, NX, and NOS all make great REAL kits for the raptor?

Neither of those options would be what I consider cheap. Porting is usually around 400 bucks or more but pretty much useless w/o a more aggessive cam which would cost close to 300 dollars for a cheap cam and springs. Nitrous systems run 700 dollars or more.

New to the forum, and need some advice. Looking at buying a GYTR slip on, PRO FLOW air filter w/ adapter plate and GYTR jet kit. This is for an 05 raptor running w/ the airbox lid off. Just want to know the correct size main jets to run. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thats why you buy the jet kit, so you have a guideline on what to run. Pipes come with instructions too.

Jet kits normally come w/ a handfull of main jets. My experience with jetting dirtbikes was painfull to say the least. Dealing w/ the boys at FMF ended up in more guess work than anything else.

Waiting on the jet kit. Let you know how it works out. As for your YZ you should be able to buy individual jets for the particular carb on your ride. That's where the tinkering begins. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe you have a 38mm mikuni.
