Forgive me for beign slow but did i miss out on someit about these powerbands?

dont get confused, they dont exist we just mess around with "noobs" in the area. sory for any confusion,

Dude of course they exisit, i just installed the almighty zebra powerband and my 350 will wheelie in 5th with just the gas. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

WOW! you got the Zebra man I wish I could afford the Z-band! I think I will stick to the Black and blue they run great as long as my headlight washer fliud is full.

Actually, there are cars with headlight wipers that use fluid. Try saying headlight fluid and not headlight washer fluid.

Speeedy. Don't listen to these guys. Power valves absolutely do exist for some 4-stroke autos. Usually this is called variable valve timing whereby at low RPM only two valves per cylinder operate and then at higher RPM all four valves open. So in low RPM/2 valve mode you get higher charge velocity, better performance, and better milage. Then at high RPM/4 valve mode you get higher performance. Honda even has this on their V-4 800 Interceptors. This is all a little pricey and bulky so doubt if this will ever show up on dirt bikes or quads.
I believe someone is working on variable valve timing where the valves are operated pneumatically without a cam and varies according to engine demand. Used now for ultra high RPM GP race car engines. Very good question.

Sorry Maddog I am a car dealer I should have stated that better. "DLRPLATE" Mercedes was the first to use them. BMW, Volvo, followed now by my YFZ 450 With power bands. LOL
