Because I was looking at psiperformance.com and on their price list for thier 265/330/425 kits they listed their VEP powervalve as a separatre price then the cylinder and piston and gasket set and stuff, so I was wondereing if you could just buy it and put it on a stock cylinder?

I don't think you could buy just a powervalve and put it on your stock cylinder. CT/ProX make a 250 powervalve cylinder, but I don't think it is on the market yet. My buddy Jimmy is sponsored by CT and was provided with a CT250R Powervalve race quad for the Best In The Desert 2000 Mile Race and won. Give CT a call if you want the latest info. on there powervalve cylinder.

Give golden west cycles a call... (number is in most atv mags) they have a catalog with replacement cylinders with power valves installed. They have 250-330-350cc sizes. I think the 250 runs about $2000

I heard Duncan has a powervalve setup. I think you can get it on any big bore kit.

The golden west kits come with cylinder kit... Paul Turner pipe, fat boy silencer, pre jetted keihin carb, pyramid reed valve, k&n filter, outerwear, t shirt. The 250 kit is 2600, 300 kit is 2700 , and the 330 kit is 2750. If you just want the cylinder it's 1800 for the cylinder (ported) power valve assembly, cool head, top end gaskets, and piston. These are all made by Duncan Racing.

The powervalve cylinder is functional, but alot of money for the performance gain...For more low-end:
Have your cylinder ported for low to mid range; use stiffer reeds, install a pipe designed for low-end (I use an LRD pipe which has an adjustable powerband), and raise the compression by either cutting the stock head or installing an aftermarket head with smaller than stock domes.
All of these mods will cost significantly less than the powervalve if cost is a concern.
