Only 60 in second?....62 in 1st and 83 in 2nd with the RR
thats crazy. he had it geared that way. he got it from a guy who made it for drag racing

My R1 i have stretched it out on the road by my house where its about 3/4 mile straight away and when i changed to six gear the speedometer read 212 mph and i let off and we checked it against a truck at 80mph and it was 22mph off so i was still going 190mph and i wasnt even wide open i dont want to go any faster! These types of bikes are fun but very dangerous!

How the deuce do you have that geared?! An 2001 R1 has a hard time doing 190mph with 26" tires and its stock gearing.

15-56 gears but i also have $3700 in the motor that was gone through by moonlight cycles and had it built just for drag racing plus i have NOS 80 shot so its a BEAST!

Ok, well I dont doubt the power...but power doesnt necessarily change RPM, if redline is still 13500 (or whatever it was for your year) then all the power in the world wont change top speed, especially with that low of gearing ( stock was probably around 16/44 maybe?). Not saying it doesnt fly, but 190 seems like stretch.

You are right on the gearing the stock gears on a R1 is 16-44 my 15-56 is what i run in 300' you are right, that gearing would never run that fast even if i had 3000 HP, i run different gearing for 300-400' sand drags and 1/8 mile and 1/4 gears, for 1/8 mile i run 16-48 and 1/4 i run 16-40. But i keep the 15-56 on right now because 400' dirt drags is all i have been running. Thats why on my gearing i wrote 15-56. Sorry.

That makes more sense. You run 1/4 mile asphalt im assuming? What does it do? And what year R1 is it? Looks to be carbed right?

I'm not sure if I have enough maturity to handle having a bike like that ]
