First of all, it's my first post in this forum and I needing some help with my ride (450yfz) ....A friend of mine recently installed a complete exhaust system ( Fat Boy 4)on my quad and jet settings too, but something got wrong, the header got a hot cherry color after a crank the engine. I know it's all about the jets settings but I don't know the right jet number...if anyone could help me please let know...and about altitud I planning to ride this year in Glamis , so hope to see you guys there........

 

Was this just at idle or when running through the gears? The headpipe glowing red is a lean condition. Depending on the conditions of when this happened I'd go up one size on the pilot, on the main and raise the needle one click.

As a base rule, I like to start my jetting where I know it's going to be well rich and lean it from there.

 

Sounds like a good rule to me...better too rich than too lean.
