Banshee thermostat?
#11
I don't think it's all that rare. I believe the newer Banshees run hot. In our group, we've got 6 Banshees ('91, '92, '97, '99, and 2-'00's). The 2 older ones run a constant 180. The '99 and '00's hit 250 while cruising. Very odd. (We just installed the temp gauge on the '97, so I'm not sure what it runs yet).

I read on someone's website that it is just the location of the resevoir bottle(container) and he mounted his by his front bumper and it never flowed over again??
I have a 95 and if i am playing around in an area hard on it, it will flow over, which is probably normal, but if im going along moving fast along trails it never does.
just shut it off when it over heats. and when stopped and idled shut it off because they build up alot of heat when stopped because no air circulation is hitting the radiator, that is why when moving along they dont get hot, air is flowing through the radiator keeping it cool.
it could also be your i forget what its called i think a impellar? in the water pump that keeps your fluid moving through the engine, stock ones i am pretty sure are plastic and sometimes melt, if it melts it is useless, pro design sells a alum.? one which wont melt and will fix your problem if your stock one is ruined/melted.
