450r Air Box Eliminator Kit
#1
I was just wonder what it would help/hurt, I race Flat Track, and some MX, Other than that the occasional trip to the river. I know i risk getting sand/water ect. in the intake. But as far as hp is what I'm wondering. thanks in advance for any input.

My friend eliminated his airbox on his banshee by putting pod filters on the carbs
Great for added HP due to more air flow and less restriction - not sure on exact numbers but this is also a 2 stroke so gains will be different
Bad because he hit a puddle and sucked water in the cylinders and bent both rods
Stick with the protection of the airbox unless just flat tracking on dry days - mx gets a little too muddy and seems to rain often here anyways
They also sell these little side filter circles I put on my dirt bike they are small but open up the air box a bit and I never had a problem with water intake - I got they from White brothers I belive
