first mod for raptor 350
#2
I am an avid atv enthusiast, and from my personal experience with the yamaha 350 motor, it wakes up with an exhaust and an air filter. i am partial to FMF, but there are PLENTY of other products out there, and plenty of people willing to voice their opinion. also you could get a CDI rev box, for rairly inexpensive. you will definately need to rejet no matter what exhaust you put on. but i would opt for an after market air filter, and an exhaust. a lot of people dis K&N but i have had good luck with it. i ride in sandy conditions most of the time. just keep it clean and re-oil it regulaly. good luck with your ATV

I agree with the exhaust and air filter as the first upgrades. K&N is OK for sand, but doesn't fair as well in drier, dusty conditions or in wet, mud type riding(especially with the airbox lid off) Personally I stick with foam filters such as UNI/Twin Air/etc. But that is just preference. Do you know where you want to get the power out of your engine? Low/mid/top end? Pipe choice will be affected by how and where you want to produce the power.

You Need a K&N Air filter
You Need a exhaust..(Full is better but slip on will work)
You Need a Stage 1 HotCam There only about $90.00 And there not hard to install..
That will wake your rappy up.
Dont not go with a High compression pistion like i have unless all your going to do is race.. Becouse they run a little warm to just put around on...
You can look in my pics at my mods and if you see anything you like just ask me about it...

I would pipe it.Pipe, filter, pre filter. You will need to rejet. These bikes need to breath. If you don't ride in water dump the air box lid too.Don't let your dealer talk you into the GYT-R either.Personal opinion, they look pretty but are junk.Everyone seems to say that the Hmf,Fmf,and white brothers are good setups. When you go to rejet be careful with the float bowl screws.AKA BUTTER SCREWS.THEY ARE SOFT AND STRIP EASY!What I did was replace them with an allen head type screws.Trust me I have been here!

GYTR air filter and jet kit, thats what my riding buddy did to his and thats what im going to do to mine in spring. On his it really increased the performance, you might also wanna change the front sproket, not sure if u lose or gian a tooth?

I would go with the K&n filter with a good aftermarket exhaust I ran the supertrap on the one I had then put a dynojet kit in the carb and jet accordingley and go up one tooth on the front sprocket it is a night and day differance for the warrior. Hope this helps.
