Default hmf for my ex?

i've been looking into pipes for my 05' 300ex. i've found a few, but most are focused towards high end power. im not all that interested in high end i don't race or anything, all i do is trail ride, so i like the low end power. i was told that the hmf sport series provides great low end power, but no one knows anything about it. please keep inmind that this will be going along with a drilled air box k&n filter, and a jet kit. thanks for the help.

The Sport series is definately a great setup for trailriding except for one thing-noise. They claim 97dB with the quiet core... I know for a fact w/o it they are LOUD. I don't mind it while riding, but have had a few landowners complain. My experience comes from my brothers YFZ, which is basically set up just like mine, only he has a full HMF system, and I am still running stock. Same skid plates, tires, etc.etc. In drags he consistently pulls me, and on the track/trail his pulls a gear higher and/or is more willing to lug down than my quad will.

i plan on purchasing a "quiet core" system, but do they take away from power gians? while in trail riding its no biggy, but around my house i'll need the core, does it take away the good profromance of the pipe?

the quiet core will detract from the power gains slightly, but not enough to feel while riding. You'd need a dyno to see the difference.

Yes, there is a small loss of power with the core in, but it is still a good gain over stock.
