octane boosters??
#1
can i use octane boosters on my quad, i just wanted to make sure, and do you think it would just be easier/cheaper to run premiem fuel. thanks for all feed back. also, has anyone had any experience with turned wheels? i heard they help widen the quad(kinda obvious) but is the extra stability worth it, or will it inebidbly(spelling) cause damage to my suspension or brakes?

I don't know if you are supposed to or not but I did run premium fuel with octane booster in my 2-stroke when I first got it, it didn't seem to do any harm but it really didn't help any either and I just use reg. 87 octane ever since, because it's not worth the extra money if there's no difference.

This is the thing man. Putting a higher octane (premium, av gas, race gas) than your quad needs is basically pointless. You may notice a very little increase in performance (with race gas only) but the others are not worth the money. Why? If you don't have a high compression setup such as 12 : 1 or greater the higher octane fuels serve absolutley no purpose. Your engine will not be able to take advantage of the fuels' greater resistance to detonation (higher octane) and thus you are simply wasting your money when 87 unleaded does exactly what you need it to for a great deal less per gallon.

octane booster what for? high compression? if not don't waste your time all octane is basicly for is to stop pinging in higher comp motors or to stop pre ignition. also i have flipped the front wheels on my warrior with no problems! all i had to do was drill new valve stem holes and reverse old one's so the wouldn't hit the brake calipers.
