synthetic moto oil....
i was at wally world the other day picking up some oil with a friend when i spied with my little eye, a bottle of sythetic motorcycle oil, my first thought was "you can't run synthetic oil in a wet clutch bike." although it was almost 8 dollars a quart it was neat, and im now questioning my knowledge. maybe just maybe, can you use regular syn. oil in your bike?

What planet have you been riding on??? There are a bunch of synthetic motorcycle specific oils: Maxima, Klotz, Motul, Mobil 1, Amsoil, etc........ And, there are a bunch of blends out there, as well.
I have personally run Maxima Extra (ester synthetic) in a dozen different quads/dirt bikes for years. Be sure to pick one that is motorcycle specific, API SG/JASO MA. There are many reasons to avoid car/truck oils in your bike.
There are a hundred oil threads in here. Rather than start a new one, you can read this one, and it should answer a bunch of your questions: http://forums.atvconnection.com/mess...did/489849.cfm

There are a lot of old wives tales regarding synthetic oil, everything from it being too slippery to it causing gasket/seal leaks. You don't have to spend $8 a quart for quality synthetic oils that are atv/dirtbike compatible, there is Mobil 1 for about $21 for a gallon at Wal Mart or Shell Rotella T for about $15 per gallon, both are fine for ATV's.
