Hi i have noticed in 3 different atv engines there is a counter balance in them or somekinda weight or something like that in the Blaster, Lt250r,and the 250x engine,, and none in the dirtbike engines! like the CR250 and Cr125 and KX65 in the engines i have taken apart.. does it hert the engine if i stick a dirtbike engine in an ATV frame? b/c it doesnt have the counter balance? or could i posibly take the counterbalance out?? get more hp's?? i have a blaster engine and a 250r engine righ now.....i care about the lt engine but not so much about the blaster LOL so please help me out and explain this 2 me! thanks...

 

The counterballance is in the engine to make it run smoother and not vibrate the whole chassis on your quad.
Yes you can put a dirt bike motor in a quad but you will feel alot of vibration thrue the handlebars but you can get antivibe steering stem or handlebar mounts to help compinsate for the vibration.
As far as taking the counterballance off I am not sure but I would not recomend it.
