Do pipes add value?

Do pipes add value?
I am thinking about selling my 1996 Banshee that I just rebuilt the motor on and it has some other things like Hot Rods Cranks, Wiseco pistons, filters, jetted engine, and a couple other things, but im still running the stock pipes that do have some rust on them. My question is should I go buy new/used pipes off eBay or something. Ive gotten mixed input about putting pipes on it, but I really only want to do it if it adds value.

But has he really done that much to it? At ten years old, he probably had to replace the tired out OEM stuff, doesn't mean he went high comp or anything. You will never raise the price of the quad enough to justify buying pipes, even used. I would pull the stockers, clean them up, and repaint them.

But as far as the original question, IMO no.
I looked at an 03 Z400 that had a full yoshi system on it, full skids and a few other things. He said how much they cost, and I knew how much they are, but still, that meant nothing to me as far as his asking price. It did, however, make me think it may have been ridden harder than if it were stock.
But who keeps anything stock?
