Default 250r pipes?

I'm in the market for getting a new pipe for my 250r, the only problem that the only header pipes I see are those really fat pipes, I to get one a chrome/polished alum but I wan't a pipe that would me like more the size of the stock one, not this big fat thing thats gonna melt my plastic? Also what would be a good forestry approved silencer?

I have a FMF Fatty to with FMF spark arrestor. The only burn hole is where the head pipe and silencer meet, was kind of rigged but I didn't notice in time so got a little hole. But that is my fault. Theres one picture on my picture page. That fat part on the pipe is what makes two strokes scream so you got to live with them.

Default 250r pipes?

I just bought the FMF fatty gold series pipe with the Turbincore silencer which is forestry approved... I noticed considerable gains in perf. It doesnt look stock, but there is no worry of melting plastics... I also got a billet coupler from T.M.Disignworks for the joining seal between the two... no leaks... looks great and more important to me... NO OIL DRIPS...

hope the info helps

mine leaks a little out the exhaust flange.where the two pipes join together is behind the frame on mine...effectively eliminating burns in the plastic. i have the fatty with the turbinecore s/a . this is a good compromise to ride in certain areas.

Sorry but I am not sure I can believe that any exhaust leak is beniffical.

I think I'm gonna have to pass on the pipe for now because pipes are expensive and theres other usefull things I need to get first like: nerfs, front bumper, 4 new tires (dang pavement) and maybee new handle bars and a new headlight. Also just bought a new rear fender so I need some decals too.

You will not be dissappointed with this pipe. http://www.esr250.com/250r_pipes.htm#trx5centermount I have the ATC5. It is great. The price is alot less than the others. I did alot or pipe research for the 250r engine. You will not find a better pipe for your money, unlesss it is used. Look at my pics, you can see my pipe real good.
