What is the cheapest way to ship a motor overseas (Germany) to have it built into a race motor?

I would go with UPS or FedEx it might cost more but it will be faster and you can track it yourself and get insurance on it too. If that cost too much take a vacation to Germany. Spend a week or two drinking some of the fine Germany's beers.

FEDX and UPS are VERY expensive, that is why I was looking for alternatives. I like the vacation idea though!

Just out of curiousity what is it that they can do in Germany that they cant do hear. I just cant believe their is somebody better at modding quad motors than the shops in the US. Generally, speaking the best atv and motocross racers are US born and from what I see most of the aftermarket companies are US based as well.

It would seem to me that whatever you are saving/gaining by having the work done in Germany you will lose in the shipping costs. I shipped my motor from VA to CA for only $60 and that included $2000 in insurance for a 5 day UPS.

Good luck shipping that motor. I tried to send a gas generator to sweden and nobody would do it, not even ups. They say that anything that has had gas in it can not go up in an airplane due to it being explosive=FAA regulations. It had something to do with flight 800. Crazy but true. You may have to have it shipped on a boat.
