HAs anyone ever tried this? Will it fit? It seems like a good idea, or will it crack the frame? Last thing, would it be too much power in the ex frame?

i doubt it will be too much power for the frame, the ex motor has just about the same power as a banshee. and in my opinion the ex frame is alot stronger then a banshee

I think you would be better off putting a 250R or CR500 engine in a 400EX frame

I was planning on doing a conversion and was trying to find out what to do.
I was thinking about a banshee motor in a blaster frame? Would this work or would it be way too much power?
Or would a banshee motor in a 250R frame work?
How much work would these take.
I am trying to find something that won't take to much work so if you know of anything let me know.

If you are stuck on 2 strokes, why not put a Banshee motor in a Banshee? Putting a Banshee motor in a Blaster would be a waste of 2 well engineered machines. Unless you have a beater bike that has a bad motor, stick with original equipment. If you torch a clean used bike to try and wedge a motor in it, you'll just trash your resale value.

Why would you want to put a slower engine in a 400ex. That would just make it seam slower than it really is.

what do you mean by"put in a slower motor"? there is no way a banshee motor is slower than a 400EX.i know,i have a banshee and ill line it up against any 400EX or Honda for that matter.ive beat more 250R's than anything else.maybe they just werent up to par,i dont know, but if most R's wount beat it a 400EX doesnt have a chance.im not tring to start anything,i just dont see how you can say a banshee is slow.

My Banshee can atleast do 90 or 95.........

400's do have Banshee's low end....but not by too much. Its a close race. The 400ex has better stock suspension though
