how do they keep the motor cool in the summer

A snowmobile engine isn't constructed any different than any other 2-stroke engine. Only the cooling system is. You can put a snowmobile engine in anything as long as you have a cooling system capable of that size motor. A stock Banshee system for example is adequate. Snowmobiles actually have a thermostat to keep them from running too cool.

 

at least they put ski-doo engines in them
