I have a 400EX and needa new swing arm....is thhere any benefits of having an extended swing arm? I will be mostly trail riding and will be doing a few hair scrambles(baja races basically) or enduro races through the woods and i also will be occationally taking it some MX tracks. Any sugestions? shoould i just keep the stock length or is shorter or longer better?
also does anyone know any GOOD aftermarket companies with GOOD aftermarket swing arms??
im also looking for some new plastics...i heard you can get a list of aftermarket plastic companeis that they sell their damaged or "less than perfect" ones for a discount..
thanks you for any information!!

Longer swing arm make the front stay on the ground more and make it more stable at high speeds but make it more tippy in the turns. You need to revalve your rear shock if you do that. Most people go +1 on a 400ex but not me i like wheelies.
If you go +1 on the rear your sosposed to go with A-arms that are moved 1' forword. If you ran a stock leangth swing arm and A-arms that were 1' forword it would be the same as running a -1 swing arm.
if yo ugot the money i would get a ROLL swinger.
Nacs racing has plastic on clarance all the time and let it go pritty cheep.

I have a Roll design + 1.25, you can still wheelie with this length too. This swinger is perfect for MX or the trails probably is ok for Hair scrammbles but I would go with -1 swinger for that type of racing, this swinger does come with a hefty price tag lucky for me I got the best deal in the world on mine.
