Aftermarket Pipes-vs-Jetting_400ex
#1
Since I'm seeing an array of aftermarket pipes in here.I was wondering,Who's getting the most fuel through that 400cc motor efficently with a good plug reading result?
Heres mine.
Stock motor.#2
LRD header and slip on.(loud)
Dyno jet needle on third notch.
Pilot jet drilled from stock 38 to 42.
Main jet 170.
Plug reading off white to tan. (Stock plug).
Holes drilled in airbox lid.
Stock filter.
Notes-
On advice of mecanic, changed needle and drilled pilot to give carb more consistant delivery of fuel through the entire RPM range.
Still seems like the motor wants just a little more fuel on the top end.It cuts out right before the limiter.Going to fiddle a little more after breakin of new motor.
Whats yours?
