Raptor mods
#3
I know that in a recent issue of 4 Wheel ATV Action, CT Racing helped to make an MX racer out of the Raptor. They added TimmyBoy Designs extended a-arms, a Durablue axle (Eliminator I think), CT Sonic exhaust, TCS front shocks, and TCS conversion rear. As far as the article told, the MX Raptor did well on the track.

I think it will be a strong mx machine, but not in stock form.
Basically it needs to lowered and widened. This is needed for all stock atvs. Some are more effective in stock form though.
I have had mine on a mx track a few times before it got cold and they closed and it highsided in the corners. But it did seem to jump pretty well though.
The stock suspension is softer than most sport machines which further compounds the highsiding.
I had an extended axle on my last trip to the track and it made a world of difference in the corners stopping 75% of the roll by itself.
There is another mod which I feel will be needed especially when engine mods are made and that is a longer swingarm. The front end is light to begin with and hopping up the engine will surely expose this.
I am by no means a pro rider so test what I am telling you for yourself.
I think after all the mods I have mentioned it will surely be, with the right rider, an awesome mx machine.
Blue Raptor
Renthal Bar, TCS Shocks, Lone Star A-Arms +3 (Next Week), DuraBlue Axle +5, Big Gun Header, GYTR Exhaust, DG Bumper, Fastline Brake Lines, ...
