Can someone suggest a pipe for my '88 250R? I plan on racing motocross type tracks. I currently have a Paul Turner top end pipe but the motor seems to lack at the bottom.

I checked the current pipe and it is a hi-rev. As far as the porting goes, I don't know but the motor is at the dealer being checked out to find out what I am working with. The guy I bought it from had it set up for ice racing. Someone had told me that the LRD pipe would only work well if the porting was done to match the pipe.

Get the LRD, it's worth every penny! It takes two minutes to adjust it for the track or sand, and you can feel the difference with every adjustment made. I love mine, and haven't regretted buying it yet.

I personally like the LRD pipe but most of the time it is best to run the pipe that is made by the person that ports your bike. I do have experience with the Duncan pipes and motors and if you want more bottem end go with there Race pipe (this is also there midrange pipe) most motor builders build there pipe to match there port specs and u could actually lose power switching to a competitors pipe even though in most cases the competitors pipe is better

Good luck
