Jetting
#1
Is jetting a matter of turning a needle on the carb? I own a 2000 wolfverine and was thinking of a e-brothers pipe and k&n filter.
Is it pretty easy to increase the fuel mixer?
Would a yamaha dealer do this?

There are 2 screws on the carb, one for idle, and one is the pilot screw. If you dont Know what your doing you better take it to a mechanic. Yamaha over jets these bikes for reliability. I have a 95 which came with a 137.5 main, then a recall because it was too rich, to a 135 main. I have a lot of engine mods now. Over double stock horse power, and at sea level I run a 140 main.
I suggest do the mods and drive it warm slight uphill and slightly bog the motor, then punch it wide open. If it is a steady bog, and the plug is black, your too rich.
If it feals like a misfire and the plug is whiter than a dark brown, your too lean.
Hope this helps
