Quick question, adding a aftermarket pipe to a 2 stroke engine will make the Air fuel ratio leaner or richer? I would guess leaner becuase of the increased air flow. Right? How much would a aftermarket pipe effect jetting? Would it make it too lean and ruin the engine? Would starting with a few jets richer that stock be a good place to start?
How does performance reed valves, porting and increased compression effect jetting?

Thanks in advance

Dominator,
Yes, a pipe will usually require rejetting your main. Since pipes & silencers vary greatly in design and purpose,& since elevation & temperature affect jetting, it's difficult to say how fat you need to go. I would go to 2 sizes fatter and test ride at 3/4 or better rpms, then do a plug read,. If it indicates rich then you can drop one size. It's always better to be on the rich side when testing as no harm can be done to the engine that way. Main jets are quite inexpensive so it is always good to have several sizes in your tool box.The other modifications you mentioned may call for a fatter mixture also, especially the reeds
