The pipe will increase your hp by about 5-10 with correct jetting. Usually you buy pistons to increase your compression to run race gas, unless your racing you really dont need it. As for tires I had holeshots on my yfz and they really sucked they wore out fast and are overpriced in my opinion, I put kenda knarlys on and love them they are are affordable and have great traction on a variety of terrains

The pipe will give you better flow and therefore better horespower. In other words it helps your engine breath easier. With the pipe you may need to jet so that more fuel can be added to compensate for the extra flow. There are different types of pistons high compression and low compression. and yes they can make more power. You could also bore the cylinder out to get a bigger displacement. Bigger engine means more power. So in a nutshell yes they are performance mods.

oh and the holeshots a real good tire in my opinion. they are made of kinda soft rubber to gain traction. the only reason why they may wear out early is by riding them on the street or doin burnouts all of the time.

I like the holeshots, too. But, they are spendy. There is a new tire in town....www.sedonatire.com They have what looks like a really good tire comparable to the holeshot for much less. I have their sand tires and they are great! I would definitely recommend the HMF full exhaust (since I have one!)...What are you putting it on and what are you doing with it? Intake and exhaust are good starters and really wake up a bike. Boring out an engine is another thing. If your racing, then it is necessary.
