What is the best pipe for 250R for all around riding including duning? I have been looking at the Paul Turner Midrange and the LRD adjustable.

I'd go with the LRD. You can adjust it for any riding and it has a nice finish. I love mine.

 

Well That really could be a very complicated question. First and foremost there are no magic pipes. They all do somethings better and worse than each other. Since you put in there that you will be duning as well I would say get the FMF fatty pipe I own 2 250R's 1 with the fatty and the other with the LRD Team B(310 kit)The fatty doesn't come on the pipe quite as hard but will make more upper mid power( even with the LRD all the way short) Do you like a strong hit? If so Then the CT or Curtis sparks are worth consideration. If you have a completely stock engine then I would get the CT National midrange pipe. (I have one of those as well as the old FMF high rev gold series pipes) This pipe will do the best with your stock to mildly ported motor but hits too hard with a good racing engine(full porting). So take your pick they all are good pipes that make their power as slightly different places and either pull long and somewhat hard or hit hard and have a little narrower powerband. My experience with the Paul Turner(I traded mine away) was that it would be a great MX or XC pipe but does not rev out well. It has great bottom end burst though and is an excellent pipe,but I can't see it as the pipe for the sand where revs rule. Hope this helps,

RtraxMN, another pipe that you may want to look into is the FTZ Performance In-frame Fat Pipe. According to FTZ, it makes as much as 8 HP more that other brands. It looks awesome. I don't personally have one on my 310R, however I am considering upgrading to one. Check them out on the web at www.ftzracing.com you WILL be impressed.
