I just bought some scoops for my 250r. I only bought them cuz it I wanted that factory look.
But now my quad kind shakes more on the top end. If a catch a cross-wind, I am all over the place.
Also, I've noticed that it takes away some power.
I guess scoops are good if your running in a tight circuit.
I think I am gonna cut them.
anybody have some opinion?

He has to be kidding. There is no way that radiator scoops could cause that unless there is no plastic on the quad. Just not enough surface area to affect 450+ lbs of mass. It was probably just windier that day or something.

Well I have to study this some more.
I placed an order for some good Realtor tires. I will test the quad with scoops and without.
I will run against my friends banshee, cuz we are neck by neck on the drags.
Peace.

So is your name Tinkerbell, or did you figure out how to make your quad remote controlled? I ammumed that the bike weighed 350 and the rider was at least 100lbs. I guess I shouldn't have assumed that there needs to be a rider.

So how much did you dump into your dinosaur? Sounds like someone is jealous that I can waste $10,000 on a quad, but actually, that really isn't alot with the price of shocks, a arms, etc... It adds up quickly. But then of course, maybe the joke is on me because I am trying to get mine to look exactly like a 250r, I just happen to like 4 strokes and inexpensive replacement parts.
