any specific brands such as dasa, CP, weisco, ice cube... that are considered extremely reliable. I know a bore will give me lots of power but I don't want a lot of maintnence. I want to basically throw a big bore in when my 450 finally wears out and not have to do much more than a rejet for a big bore that would be around 500 CCs. Also I don't want to have to replace any parts like the clutch because it can't handle the torque. Just a brand would be a great start. Thanks.

 

i would be very careful about choosing your big bore kit because i had the same idea on my old yfz 06 and was quick to learn on a 450 bigger may not all the same be better. with the big bore kit you will defenitly gain power but it will be a different type of power not making it nessecarily faster. larger bore and pistons makes the engine heavier robbing it of the high pulling rpm power the 450 is designed to make. it will definetly improve on low end torque but thats not where the 450s make their stand my friend ran into the same problem with his honda had loads of torque on bottom but you will lose the zip on top its a lot more complicated than it seems my mechanic said like a 475 would have a better chance of being "faster"
