Moto-fast banshee carbs
#1
I put on a moto fast pipe on my banshee and had problems with the right side running to to rich and the other side was spot on. I played with different things on it but it always ran rich on one side.I ended up putting a 300 main on one side and a 290 on the other and it rips now.Has any body else had to do this????

Is your airbox lid on? If so, the designer of the Moto-fast pipe recommends just using one or two sizes over the stock main jets (220 or 225 I think, check to be sure) and using the stock pilot (25 I think).
The moto-fast pipe won't really breath any better than the stock pipes. They smooth the power out a lot though. The hard hit is what I liked so much about the Banshee.
Oh, one more thing. If you go to my website in Internet Explorer, you should here a recording of my shee when it had the MF pipe. Nothing sounds better IMO.

My banshee has been ported and polished with 20cc coolhead and the carbs taper bored out to 28.I have run several diffrent pipes on my banshee including fmf woods(which are sitting in my garage)Toomeys, and DG.The moto fast pipe is the only one were it will burn rich on one side.I like the power delivery the best for my type of riding.Thats why I am trying to run this pipe. I ride almost exclusively on a mx track.

Make sure that both of your carbs are opening/closing at the same time. If your carbs are in sync, you should have the same settings for both carbs. It they are set just alike and you have some of those other pipes that you could put on you Banshee, just try them out and see if one side still runs rich. I don't know anyone that runs Moto-fast pipes, but could that just be a characteristic of that style pipe?
